Custom China Suppliers Factory Polymer Melt Filter Elements SUS 304 for High-Viscosity Filtration in Chemical Fiber Industry Manufacturers, Supplier

Introducing our advanced melt filter element, a vital filtration device employed extensively in the chemical fiber industry for processing polymer melts and other high-viscosity substances. Manufactured in China, our melt filter element effectively removes solid impurities such as carbonized particles and metal oxides from the melt. This purification process not only enhances the quality of the melt but also ensures the provision of qualified raw materials for downstream operations, thus maintaining the seamless functionality of the melt filtration system, Our candle filter elements, meticulously produced at our factory, are designed to fit within a filter housing, offering a compact solution that can accommodate between 1 to 20 candles, depending on the filter size. Each filter element is vertically arranged within the pressure vessel, making it ideal for filtering liquids with low solid content. This innovative design allows for high productivity and facilitates easy discharge of bottom sediments, establishing us as leading suppliers of efficient filtration solutions in the market

Product Description

Description
The melt filter element is installed in the extrusion line, where the polymer melt is forced through the filter to remove impurities. The main filter layer of Pleated Filter mainly uses two materials: stainless steel wire mesh and stainless steel sintered fiber.
Stainless steel wire mesh is woven from stainless steel wire. Its pleated filter has the characteristics of smooth pores, easy cleaning, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, no wire mesh falling off, and long filtration cycle. Stainless steel sintered fiber is a porous deep filter material made of stainless steel fibers sintered at high temperature. Its pleated filter has the characteristics of high porosity, good air permeability, strong dirt holding capacity, and strong regeneration ability.

Core Advantages of Polymer Melt Filters
1
Effectively filters out gel particles, carbonized impurities, catalyst residues, dust and other tiny particles in the melt.
2
Enhances the mechanical properties and appearance of the product.
3
High dirt-holding capacity — holds a large amount of pollutants before being completely clogged, thereby significantly extending the replacement cycle.
4
Reduces downtime caused by replacing filters or cleaning equipment, improving the utilization rate and overall efficiency of the production line.
5
Provides stable and consistent filtration resistance, helping maintain the stability of melt pressure, flow rate and temperature for a more controllable and smoother production process.
6
High temperature and high pressure resistance — usually made of stainless steel (such as 304, 316L), Hastelloy and other metals.
Application Areas
🏭 Petrochemical
Refining, chemical production and separation and recovery of intermediate products.
⚙️ Metallurgy
Filtration of hydraulic systems of rolling mills and continuous casting machines.
🧵 Textile
Purification and uniform filtration of polyester melt during the drawing process.
How to Clean Industrial Filter Cores?
🔹
Industrial fine filters are widely used in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, ink and paint, food and beverage, automobile manufacturing, cement industry, petroleum, oil refineries, petrochemical, etc. It is important to clean these filter cartridges to ensure consistent filtration over a long period of time.
🔹
Industrial filter cores have high dirt holding capacity, are easy to install, clean and maintain. The fine filter element is sturdy, has a solid quality core and well-formed layers, making cleaning and installation very straightforward.
🔹
Some filtration systems allow backwashing and feature a CIP system design. Most, however, must be removed from their shells, sterilized and washed. When not in use, cleaned filter cartridges are dried and sealed or vacuumed to prevent contamination or wear.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1 What materials are used in polymer melt candle filter elements?
Polymer melt candle filter elements are primarily made from SUS 304 or 316L stainless steel. The filter media can be either stainless steel wire mesh or stainless steel sintered fiber, depending on the application requirements.
Q2 What is the filtration rating range for candle filter elements?
Candle filter elements are available in filtration ratings from 1 to 200 microns, allowing them to be tailored to a wide range of polymer melt filtration applications.
Q3 What is the maximum working temperature for these filter elements?
The polymer melt candle filter elements can withstand working temperatures of up to 350°C, making them suitable for high-temperature polymer processing environments.
Q4 How do I clean and maintain a polymer melt candle filter element?
Most filter elements need to be removed from their housing, then sterilized and washed. If the system supports backwashing or CIP (Clean-In-Place), those methods can also be used. After cleaning, the elements should be dried and stored in a sealed or vacuum-packed condition to prevent contamination.
Q5 What industries use polymer melt candle filter elements?
These filter elements are widely used in petrochemical, metallurgy, textile, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, automobile manufacturing, and other industries where fine filtration of polymer melts or process fluids is required.
Q6 Can candle filter elements be customized to specific requirements?
Yes. Custom specifications are available including filter length (16–60 inches), connector type (222, 226, 215, M36, M28, M24, M22, M20), filtration rating, and filter media type to meet specific polymer melt filtration application needs.
